Mode of Action

Hexaguard is a highly potent systemic triazole fungicide. Hexaconazole acts as an ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor (demethylation inhibitor). By aggressively blocking the production of ergosterol—a vital structural component of the fungal cell membrane—it causes the fungal cell walls to collapse, completely stopping the growth and reproduction of the mycelium.
