Product Overview

Key Highlights

Dual-Action Fungicide: Powerful combination of a systemic and a contact fungicide for comprehensive disease management.
Curative & Preventive: Effectively prevents new fungal infections while aggressively curing existing internal diseases.
Specialized Control: Specifically highly effective against the destructive Oomycetes class of fungi (Downy Mildew, Late Blight).
Nutritional Boost: Contains Manganese and Zinc (from Mancozeb), providing essential micronutrients for healthier crop foliage.
Versatile Application: Highly adaptable formulation suitable for foliar spraying, seed treatment, and nursery soil drenching.

Target Crops

Potato • Tomato • Grapes • Tobacco • Chilli • Onion • Cabbage • Cauliflower • Citrus • Mustard • Black Pepper • Pearl Millet • Commercial Vegetables

Target Pests

Late Blight • Downy Mildew • Damping Off • White Rust • Phytophthora Foot Rot • Leaf Spot • Anthracnose

Application Method

Mix the recommended dosage in the required volume of clean water to ensure a uniform spray suspension.
Apply as a high-volume foliar spray using a knapsack or power sprayer for maximum distribution.
Ensure complete and uniform coverage of the entire plant canopy, including the underside of the leaves.
For seed treatment or managing soil-borne diseases (like Damping Off), apply as a targeted soil drench in the nursery bed.
Repeat the application after 10–14 days if the disease pressure persists or during critical weather conditions favoring fungal growth.

Features & Benefits

Internal Eradication: Translocates rapidly throughout the plant tissue to stop fungal spread entirely from the inside out.
Phytotonic Effect: Promotes vigorous plant growth, resulting in a visibly greener and healthier crop canopy.
Rain Resistance: Systemic properties ensure the active ingredient is fully absorbed and protected from sudden rain wash-off.
Resistance Management: Multi-site contact action significantly reduces the risk of fungi developing chemical resistance.
Safe for New Growth: Exceptionally safe crop profile ensures no burning or stunting of delicate new shoots and leaves.

Mode of Action

Metazeb acts through two highly complementary mechanisms. Metalaxyl is a systemic fungicide that rapidly penetrates plant tissues and inhibits protein synthesis (specifically RNA polymerase) in fungi, stopping internal mycelial growth. Mancozeb is a broad-spectrum contact fungicide with multi-site action; it disrupts vital biochemical processes, including lipid metabolism, respiration, and ATP production within the fungal cells, leading to rapid spore death.

Safety & Precautions

Always wear full protective clothing, including chemical-resistant gloves, a face mask, and safety goggles.
Wash hands, face, and all exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water immediately after the spraying process.
Store in the original container, tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and food items.
Strictly avoid eating, drinking, or smoking while handling, mixing, or applying this agricultural chemical.
Dispose of empty containers safely according to local regulations and prevent any drift into nearby water bodies.
