Mode of Action
Sigma acts through contact and vapor action. Sulphur interferes with the vital respiratory chain of fungal cells and mites. It intercepts electrons in the cytochrome system , leading to the formation of hydrogen sulfide which is toxic to the pathogen's metabolism. This disrupts energy production (ATP synthesis), causing the rapid collapse and death of the fungal mycelium and mite colonies.
